siblings, key events, and what was learned from them
- Significant
people in the lives of the applicants
- Marriage
and family relationships
- Motivation
to adopt (see
article)
- Expectations
for the child
- Feelings
about infertility (if this is an issue) (see article)
- Parenting
and integration of the child into the family (see
article)
- Family
environment
- Physical
and health history and recent physical exams of the applicants
- Education
and employment
- Finances including
insurance
coverage and child care plans if needed
- Religious
affiliation
- Criminal
Background investigation for each applicant
- Child
abuse and
neglect investigation
for each applicant (form)
- References
- Summary
and social worker's recommendation.
- Following
the visits your Home Study report will be completed, notarized and two
copies will be sent to you
